Thank you for the kind words! We saw a few of the GranGuanche riders descending Teide a few weeks back, it looks like one hell of an adventure! It's definitely on my bucket list but I'm not sure my legs are quite up to the challenge just yet! What was your favourite part? And what did you find the hardest?
You definitely have the legs and the spirit! The climbs are relentless but the views always make them worth it! It’s tricky to pick a favourite part since every island was so different and unique. I loved climbing Teide early in the morning, but equally liked the lunar landscapes in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and the pine forests in Gran Canaria. And La Gomera was very special too! So in essence - all of it😅🥹 what I found the hardest was the accommodation and logistics. There’s a limited number of available rooms and ferries, so I ended up having to tag team with other riders and share accommodation with them to make it work. But admittedly that also added an interesting angle to the event!
